This Ordinance passed through the Legislative
Council as a private Bill.
2.
Its purpose is to amend the Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association Incorporation Ordinance to effect a change in the objects of the Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association.
3.
The Association has decided to extend its activities to a wider spectrum of medical services, so as to include the operation of general hospitals and the provision of medical care and services to patients of general, surgical or geriatric cases, in addition to the existing services extended to tuberculosis, chest and heart patients. The amendment enables the Association to implement its intention.
4. Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
