Dear Ms. Walker,
As requested during our meeting on 4 October 1988, please find enclosed the Resettlement Registration forms of ten cases (twenty three persons) of Vietenamese refugees, currently residing in the Fang Cheng Centre in the People's Republic of China, who have family links in the United Kingdom.
You will also find enclosed a list giving the main characteristics of each case. The remaining form of the one case with family links in the United Kingdom, currently residing in Hong Kong, will be forwarded to you as soon as possible.
We would very much appreciate your humanitarian consideration of these cases for resettlement in the United Kingdom on family reunion grounds.
In this respect, it should be stated that the remaining members of this group, presently in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong and the Philippines (approximately one hundred and sixty persons), will be submitted for resettlement in other countries within the next few weeks.
