Several representatives referred to their respective countries' participation in the work of the Council of Europe in the field of protection

of refugees which was to a large extent based on the conclusions of the

Sub-Committee. Two representatives announced their Governments' intention

to ratify the 1980 European Agreement on Transfer of Responsibility for

Refugees.

17. At the close of the discussion, the Executive Committee adopted

the following conclusions which include those recommended by the Sub-Committee

of the Whole on International Protection.
