1. You might like to note for the record that Le Mai's recent meeting, in London with Mr Gillmore was reported briefly in Nhan Dan and VNA. There may have been some reference to it on the radio and television as well..

The meeting is reported to have taken place "in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and to have been held to discuss "the latest developments relating to the Kampuchean issue, the situation in SE Asia and matters concerning the relations between the two countries", was no mention of boat people in Hong Kong.
