DEONSTRATION AT CHANCERY: VIETNAMESE BOAT PEOPLE

Thank you for your letter of 7 November to Tony Godson, SEAD, about the above demonstration and enclosing a letter from Mr Tran-Binh Tinh, Secretary General of the Fédération Internationale pour la Liberté.

As you can imagine we have been rec ing numerous letters on the subject of the repatriation of Vietnamese boat people and the Secretary of State has agreed a Candard" reply on which we base our answers. I enclose a copy of this reply and suggest that, drawing on this, you might like to send a reply to Mr Tran-Binh Tinh.
