resolution on their position
on the refugee problem and
should reflect this position
to Whitehall. At the same
time, they should ask UK to
take more refugees from HK.
Legislative Council clearly
continue to take an active
interest. This has been
indicated in letters from Miss
Lydia Dunn, senior unofficial
member of the Council, to the
Prime Minister and more recently
from Mrs Rita Fan, Chairman of
the Legislative Council Ad Hoc
Group in VR's, to Prime Minister
and MP's dated 30 September
1987, and a further letter to
Lord Glenarthur dated 25 Feb.
