Amend the Guardianship of Minors Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Guardianship of Minors Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance 1988.

2. Section 22 of the principal Ordinance is repealed.

Repeal of section 22.

Explanatory Memorandum

This Bill amends the principal Ordinance by repealing section 22 which restricts the jurisdiction of the District Court in relation to minors over the age of 16 years.

2. This Bill has no Public Service staffing or public expenditure

implications.
