This Ordinance amends the Protection of Wages on Insolvency Ordinance to empower the Commissioner for Labour to make ex gratia payments from the Protection of Wages on Insolvency Fund to employees who are barred from presenting a bankruptcy petition against their insolvent employers solely because the claim or the aggregate amount of claims does not exceed $5,000.
2. Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
