Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Short title (No. 2) Ordinance 1988.
2. The Companies Ordinance is amended by adding after section Section added 180-
(Cap. 32)
"Hearing of unopposed petition by Registrar of Supreme Court
180A. (1) Subject to general rules limiting the power conferred by this section, the jurisdiction of the court under this Part may, in the case of an unopposed petition for winding-up by the court, be exercised by the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
(2) Any hearing of a petition in pursuance of the jurisdiction conferred on the Registrar of the Supreme Court by this section shall be in open court.".
