EMPLOYMENT (AMENDMENT)(NO. 2) ORDINANCE 1988

This Ordinance amends the Employment Ordinance to improve the long service payment scheme in the following respects -
(a) an employee who has served for the requisite number of years will be entitled to be paid a long service payment if he resigns by reason of ill health;

an employee who has served an employer for at least 10 years will be entitled to retire at the age of 65 years and receive a long service payment; and
the dependants of an employee who has served for the requisite number of years and who dies in service will be entitled to receive a long service payment.
Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
