An Ordinance to amend the Public Health and Municipal Services
Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Health and Municipal Short title Services (Amendment) Ordinance 1988.
2.
This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed Commencement by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
3.
Section 2 of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance Interpretation
(Cap. 132)
is amended-
(a) by adding after the definition of "bath"-
"billiard establishment" means any place opened, kept or used for the purpose of playing billiards, snooker, pool or similar games;"; and
(b) by repealing the definition of "public billiard saloon".
4. Section 92A is amended-
(a) by being renumbered as subsection (1); and
(b) by adding after subsection (1)—
"(2) For the purposes of subsection (1) “place”, in rela- tion to a billiard establishment, does not include premises used wholly for residential purposes and constituting a separate
