Patrick was very well briefed on the Digital Highway, Japan, PTAT, NPC etc. Edinger sounded surprised that Patrick was so well informed about C&W worldwide interests.
This again underlines the dangers of our various and incompatible (group) stances, and is the sort of instance I had in mind when I suggested that we should de-emphasise CW(HK) as a trading name, and emphasise our Hong Kong identity, 1.e. use HK Telecom. As you know the C&W connection is an embarrassment in a number of international operational forums.
Note:
Lyn Edinger did not accompany Patrick to meet C&W because he is being transferred and he sent one of his people 'to let him get to know C&W'.
