Mr Wilson said that there could not be a cover-up of nuclear accidents involving a release of radioactivity as it could be detected very quickly. Moreover, there were international conventions to ensure that all parties were kept informed in the event of a nuclear accident.
Tuesday, May 10 The HK Nuclear Investment Company hoped to arrange visits for HK people to the Daya Bay nuclear plant site so that workers there would be reminded of the need to observe the question of safety and management, the HK Economic Times reported prominently, quoting the managing director of the company, Sir Jack
Cater.
On the recently released Harwell report, Sir Jack said that the report had taken care of most aspects relating to the plant. He fully agreed with the report that no evacuation plan was needed.

The SCM Post reported that Greens Party leaders from, West Germany would join environmentalists from Asia and Pacific region for an international anti-nuclear conference in HK next month to mark the second anniversary of the launch of local anti-Daya Bay movement.
