An Ordinance to amend the Marine Fish (Marketing) Ordinance.
[29 January 1988]
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Marine Fish (Marketing) Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance 1988.
2. Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
Amendment of section 3.
(a) in subsection (1) by deleting "may be bought or sold wholesale" (Cap. 291.)
and substituting the following-
"may be sold, offered or exposed for sale or possessed for the purpose of sale, by wholesale,”; and
(b) in subsection (2) by deleting "shall be liable to a fine of $1,000”
and substituting the following---
"commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $10,000".
3. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) in subsection (1)(b) by deleting "the Colony" and substituting the
following-
Amendment of section 4.
"Hong Kong"; and
(b) in subsection (2) by deleting "$1,000" and substituting the
following-
"$10,000",

MARINE FISH (MARKETING) (AMENDMENT)
Section 5(3) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "shall be liable to a fine of $1,000" and substituting the following-
"commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $10,000".

Section 7(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $500" and substituting the following—

"commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $5,000".
Sections 9(1) and 13(a) of the principal Ordinance are amended by deleting "the Colony" and substituting the following-
1.
“Hong Kong”.
Section 15(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "$500" and substituting the following -
1988.
"$5,000".
