An Ordinance to amend the Immigration Ordinance.

[1 July 1987]

Short title and

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Immigration (Amendment) commencement. (No. 2) Ordinance 1987 and shall come into operation on 1 July 1987.

Amendment of section 2.

(Cap. 115.)

2. Section 2(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by deleting the definition of "the 1981 Act";

(b) by deleting the definition of “British subject by naturalization in

Hong Kong”;

(c) by deleting the definition of “Chinese resident";

(d) by deleting the definition of "Commissioner of Registration" and

substituting the following-

(Cap. 177.)

""Commissioner of Registration" has the same meaning as it

has in the Registration of Persons Ordinance;";

(e) by deleting the definition of "by descent";

(f) by deleting the definition of "the former nationality Acts";

(g) by deleting the definition of "Hong Kong belonger" and substitut-

ing the following-
