BANKRUPTCY (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1988

This Ordinance amends the Bankruptcy Ordinance so as to allow the Registrar, Supreme Court to hear in open court unopposed bankruptcy petitions.

2. Prior to this amendment it fell to the Bankruptcy Judge alone to hear all such petitions. The purpose of the amendment is to reduce the time so spent by the Bankruptcy Judge.

Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
