This Ordinance amends the Banking Ordinance to permit the disclosure of information obtained under the Banking Ordinance to any of the holders of specified statutory offices in Hong Kong and to any authority outside Hong Kong which exercises functions corresponding to any such specified statutory office and where the confidentiality of the information supplied will be respected.
Before the Deputy to the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
