ANNUAL REVIEW
ет
361
1. Thank you for your letter of 14 November about the Annual Review, which I have discussed with Christopher Hum.
2.
We agree that there is no need for you to submit an Annual Review this year, although we would want to reconsider the matter after the Senior Representative had taken up residence in Hong Kong. Our preference, for essentially practical reasons, would be for the Annual Review to be submitted at the end of year, rather than on 1 July. However I can see why the mid-year submission date would also make some sense and we could look at this possibility again if you felt strongly about it.
3.
It would in any case be very helpful if you could let us ha your Post Objectives, so that we can take these into account in the annual Departmental Objectives exercise which we must consider before the end of February 1989. I enclose our Departmental Objectives as they now stand, which, as you may know, we in any case review informally after each JLG meeting. Could you please let us have your objectives as soon as possible and at the latest by 10 February.
Yours Sincerel Plan Pave
