Pay Review

The question of a pay review for the Hong Kong Public Service
is a matter for the Hong Kong Government. They have recently decided to establish a Committee of Inquiry to review arrangements for civil service pay adjustment, and the results obtained in the
1986 pay level survey.
I am confident that the Committee of Inquiry will take any representation they receive on these matters into
account.
