Other concerns expressed strongly to me during
my visit to Hong Kong relate to the entry to
Britain of travellers from the territory. I
must regret that some should feel they have
been discourteously treated on arrival or
refused entry without good reason. I am
discussing these complaints with my rt hon
Friend the Home Secretary and we both intend
to see that such incidents do not recur.

we welcome visitors from Hong Kong
we value their links with Britain,
deriving from history and nationality
we are determined that they shuld have no
