Den Stephen
I am writing on my return to London to thank you
very much for sparing the time to receive me at the
Polytechnic. It was a great pleasure to meet you again.
I enjoyed my visit to the Polytechnic very much. The work being done there is of enormous importance, and this is particularly highlighted during the present period of
concern about emigration. Please pass on my thanks to
Dr Clark, Mr Lo and Mrs Fan, and to all those who took so
much time and trouble to show me round.
