SECRETARY OF STATE'S VISIT TO HONG KONG: HELICOPTERS

1.

Hong Kong have told us that the helicopters which will be used during the Secretary of State's visit will be twin-engined Dauphins of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force.

2. These helicopters each have a passenger carrying capacity of six: on both occasions in the Secretary of State's helicopter two seats will be taken up by Detectives and Hong Kong would like a seat reserved for a Hong Kong Government official who would act as guide for the Secretary of State. This only leaves room for the Secretary of State and two other people. if one helicopter is sufficient or would you like two helicopters

Hong Kong have asked available on each occasion? (Costs will be borne by the Hong Kong Government).

3.

Passenger lists if two helicopters are used might be:-

Helicopter 1

Helicopter 2

Secretary of State

Governor or Chief Secretary

Hong Kong Government Official Mr Galsworthy

2 Detectives

Lady Howe

Lady Wilson or Lady Ford

Mr MacLaren

Mr Hum

Mr Meyer Mr Peirce
