DOSAGE
MALOPRIM:
One tablet to be taken WEEKLY begin taking tablets one week prior to entry into the malaria zone, continue each week of the trip and for six weeks after return.
NIVAQUINE:
Two tablets to be taken WEEKLY begin taking tablets two weeks prior to entry into the malaria zone, continue each week of the trip and for six weeks after return
PLEASE NOTE
Take both lots of tablets after a main meal, at the same time and on the same day each week
It is imperative that the stated dosages are not exceeded

d) It is essential for members of the party to know their blood groups before going overseas. Those wishing to find out their blood group should go to Civil Service Occupational Health Service at Tilbury House, Petty France to have blood taken for this, and also if they wish to know if they have Hepatitis A antibodies (for appointments telephone 273 6331). A Blood Group Card can be obtained from the Medical Adviser's Office, 3 Matthew Parker Street, one week after the test. Members of the party should carry this card with them when travelling overseas.
4. CLIMATE AND CLOTHING
(a) MANILA: Hot and humid. Lightweight suits (dark for evening wear) required. Cotton dresses. On basis of current planning Manila see no need for black tie/long dress or hats: members of the party will wish to take swimsuits

(b) HONG KONG: Likely temperatures at end of May are maximum 30°C minimum 25°C. Humidity will be high (approximately 84 per cent): high possibility of rain. Lightweight suits suggested for day and evening wear. Black tie will not be required
