International Exhibitions Bureau are aware of Hong Kong's
potential intent. Still some time in which to make a bid. too early to be discussing the matter with the Chinese Government.
(Defensive) No question of HMG's frustrating Hong Kong's interest. International Exhibitions Bureau voted almost unanimously to reduce frequency of Expos. In no one's interest that they should become devalued: would affect their impact and financial viability.
