Does the + mark affect a passport holder's ability to enter other countries/to enter the UK again?
Cannot of course answer for immigration officers
of other countries.
But as far as British immigration is concerned, all
applications to enter UK are considered on their
merits, in accordance with standard procedures.
Presence of a mark in applicant's passport will
not of itself prejudice consideration of
application.
Immigration Officers at eg Dover take a particularly hard line against arrivals from Hong Kong
Unaware of any such evidence.
Certain complaints
are under investigation.
If it is discovered
procedures have not been correctly followed,
appropriate corrective action will be taken. If
Hong Kong people have evidence of prejudice, should
bring it to our notice immediately.
