Sir,

I shall limit my reply to adult education in a general sense and will exclude therefore training courses

for employment purposes.

through courses rua by the Education Department, indirectly by subventing courses provided by voluntary

agencies.

Department runs both formal and non-formal courses for

adults in the

basic general education at the primary level; secondary

school courses leading to the Hong Kong Certificate of

Education Examination; courses in English Language leading

to the Hong Kong. Certificate of Education Examination or
