SECRETARY FOR HEALTH AND WELFARE: Sir, I am advised that

the materials used for manufacturing these food containers

are generally found to be polystyrene, plasticised

polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and polypropylene, which

are not mutations nor carcinogens and they are therefore

suitable for holding food. I do not have that particular

chemical mentioned by Dr. IP. I will certainly ask the

relevant authority to check and will reply in writing.
