I move that flause 22 be amended as set out in the paper circulated under my name to Members. This amendment gives

le effect to the Ad hoc group recommendation that the Mental Health

Review Tribunal should comprise a member who has knowledge and

experience of social work. It recognises the fact that the social aspects of a case, such as a patient's family background, his living environment and its impact on the patient, have a bearing on the tribunal's decision.
