come up with proposals of encouraging the private
sector in the adoption or exploring the possibility of
using flexitime?
CHIEF SECRETARY: Sir, I would expect an answer in one

MR. CHEONG-LEEN:
Sir, can I have an assurance from the ·
Chief Secretary that if the Government is able to persuade
the workers in the public transport services to enthusiastically
it will not eventually make the present
adopt flexitime
transport situation worse than what it is already?
CHIEF SECRETARY: Well, Sir, obviously, as I made clear
in my original answer, there is a balance of advantage here;

form it appears, either in the transport services or from
the Civil Service generally, is not affected by the
introduction of flexitime.
