DR. IP : Sir, the
Laboratory at the
last question. Since the
catheterisations
Catheterisation
cardiac
Catheterisation
Grantham Hospital performs more
per annum than the three
Laboratories at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital,
and Princess Margaret Hospital put together, would Government
consider providing the Grantham Hospital with a second
laboratory (1) to meet the increasing number of cases, and
(2) to serve as a contingency for emergency cases when one
laboratory is already in use?
SECRETARY FOR HEALTH AND WELFARE : Sir, once again this is a
professional matter which I am sure the Director of Medical and
Health Services would be prepared to consider if the evidence
demonstrates that the need is there.
