RATING ORDINANCE

The Financial Secretary addressed the Council and moved the following motion:

That with effect from 1 April 1988 the amount prescribed for the purpose of section 36(1)(1) of the Rating Ordinance shall be $1,200.

TELEPHONE ORDINANCE

The Financial Secretary addressed

Secretary addressed the Council and moved the following motion:

That Part III of the Schedule to the Telephone Ordinance be amended

(a) in item 1 by deleting "(see Note.)"

"(see Note.)" and substituting the following

"(see Note 1.)";

(b) by deleting item 2 and substituting the following

"2.

For a coin box private payphone

(a)

rental

$2,400 per annum.

(see Note 1.)

(b)

for each call

50 per cent of the call charge collected. (see Note 3.)"; and

(c) by inserting, after Note 2, the following

"3.

In item 2 the call charge for a call from a coin box private payphone is

is fixed at the same rate as the charge for a local call from a public payphone. (See item 1 in Part VI of this Schedule).".
