Some

interim adjustments to the terms of

office of the District Boards and the Municipal

Councils are necessary to prepare for the new sequence

of elections. Accordingly, the Municipal Councils'

next term will last Econ April 1989 to March 1991. The

term of the District Boards beginning in March 1991

will also be adjusted SO that, in the next set

elections to be held

about six months before elections to the Municipal

Councils and one year before those to the Legislative
