Problem

1. Mr Ian Grist MP wrote to Lord Glenarthur on 11 January enclosing two

constituents' letters calling for the introduction of direct elections in

Hong Kong in 1988.

I recommend that Lord Glenarthur reply on the lines of the attached draft.
