Declaration on Hong Kong and very succesful visit to
China by the Queen. Keen British wish to develop
relations further, including political, commercial,
cultural fields.
Desire of all concerned in UK to participate in China's
modernisation programmes, including investment, and technology transfer. Technical cooperation programme and
£300m development loan a sign of Britain's commitment to
China's economic development.
