Amendment

(a) In subsection (1)(a)—

(i) delete "Board, the Television Authority" and substitute "Broadcasting Authority or any com- mittee appointed thereby"; and

(ii) insert a comma after "Telecommunications Authority".

(b) In subsection (1)(b) —–—

(i) delete "Board" and substitute "Broadcasting Authority or any committee appointed thereby,”; and

(ii) after "Ordinance" insert "or the Broadcast- ing Authority Ordinance 1987".

(c) In subsection (2), delete “Board, the Television” and

substitute "Broadcasting".

Insert after section 46 the following

"Savings and transitional.

47. (1) Any Code of Practice issued by the Television Authority and in use immediately prior to the commencement of this section-

(a) shall be deemed for all purposes to have been issued by the Broad- casting Authority under section 20 or 28 as the case may be;

(b) subject to paragraph (c), shall

remain in use; and

(c) may be amended or withdrawn

by the Broadcasting Authority.

(2) Any order or direction issued or approval or permission granted by the Television Authority under this Ordinance, which was in force immediately prior to the commencement of this section, shall continue in force as if issued or granted by the Broadcasting Authority.

(3) Any reference to the Television Authority in any Code of Practice, licence, certificate or other document issued by the Television Authority or otherwise issued under this Ordinance or in any agreement entered into by the Television Authority shall be construed as a reference to the Broadcasting Authority.

(4) In this section "Television Au- thority" means the Television Authority appointed under the repealed section 3 of this Ordinance.".

Delete "the Colony" wherever it occurs and substitute, in each case, "Hong Kong".
