Clause 38 Consequential amendment.

It will be

necessary to amend the Places of Public Entertainment Ordinance (Cap. 172) to exclude from permit requirements for any film exhibition authorized under the Film Censorship Ordinance. It is also necessary to amend the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance 1987 to ensure that the Ordinance does not apply to films censored and classified under the Film Censorship Ordinance. Films to be broadcasted will be subject to the provisions of the Television Ordinance (Chapter 52) and an amendment will be made to clarify the situation.
