This Ordinance amends the principal Ordinance (which is renamed the Registration of Local Newspapers Ordinance) for the purposes of

(a)

(b)

removing provisions (enacted in 1951) relating to the control and suppression of local newspapers; and

revising and up-dating the provisions relating to the registration of local newspapers.

2. Before the Acting Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Acting Attorney General avised that he could properly do so.
