THE OCEAN PARK CORPORATION ORDINANCE 1987
(No. 35 of 1987)
This Ordinance establishes as a body corporate the Ocean Park Corporation to own and operate the recreational and educational complex known as Ocean
Park.
2. Prior to the enactment of this Ordinance, the company known as Ocean Park Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club, operated Ocean Park. On the enactment of this Ordinance, that company was dissolved and replaced by the Ocean Park Corporation, and all the assets, liabilities and employees of the company were transferred under Part IV to the Corporation.
3.
Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.

To
Establish a body corporate to manage and control Ocean Park as a public recreational and educational park, and for that purpose to vest in that body corporate the assets of Ocean Park Limited, to provide for the establishment and administration of a trust fund, and to provide for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
PART I
PRELIMINARY
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Ocean Park Corporation Short title and Ordinance 1987 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by commencement. the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires—
"auditor" means a certified public accountant within the meaning of section
2 of the Professional Accountants Ordinance;
"Board" means the Board of the Ocean Park Corporation established by
section 7(1);
"Chairman" means the Chairman of the Board appointed under section 9 or the Deputy Chairman or any other member when acting under that section as the Chairman;
"Chief Executive" means the person appointed under section 19(1) to be the
Chief Executive;
