(AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1987

This Ordinance amends the Pneumoconiosis (Compensation) Ordinance in order that -

the Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund can be used to finance educational, publicity research and other programmes to prevent pneumoconiosis (sections 2 and 3);

the Governor can require the Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board to modify and resubmit its annual programme or estimates, and the Board can vary its estimates (section 4); and

the Board can write off any debt which it reasonably considers irrecoverable (section

5).

Before the Deputy to the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
