Review of the Widows' and Children's Scheme

I enclose our memorandum on the review of the scheme as at 31 March 1986 together with an addendum giving figures on the alternative funded scheme approach.

We will write giving a rather fuller explanation than the one I gave you when we spoke of why the contributions for a new entrant at 1.50% are higher than the 1.27% for the future service benefits of existing members.
