"Provided that the pension granted to a

child or children under this paragraph shall

be not less than $6,000 a year where no other

pension is granted under this section;";

(v) in paragraph (v) by deleting "of good

character";

(vi) by deleting the colon at the end of

paragraph (v) and substituting a semicolon;

(vii) by inserting after paragraph (v) the

following

"(vi) if the deceased officer does not leave

a surviving spouse, or if no pension is

granted to the surviving spouse, or

does not leave any children or mother

to whom a pension is granted, and the

father of the deceased officer was

wholly or mainly dependant on the

deceased officer for his support, a

pension to the father, while without

adequate means of support, of an amount
