may modify the application of any such provisions in any

such case in the manner specified by him, but any such

exemption or modification shall not be detrimental to the

officer or his dependants.

34. The Secretary for the Civil Service may by order

published in the Gazette amend the Schedule.

Pensions regulations. DI. 4

35. (1) The Governor in Council may make regulations

providing for

-

(a)

the grant of pensions benefits to officers who

are transferred to or from service under the

Government from or to other public service;

(b) the factor for the computation of pension on

retirement and such factor may apply to service

before the effective date;

(c)

the computation of qualifying service;

(d) the counting of military service as qualifying

service;

(e) the service which may be taken into account as

pensionable service;
