Clark, Principal Assistant Secretary responsible for shipping policy of the Economic Services Branch, Hong Kong Government, would appreciate the opportunity during his forthcoming visit to the UK to meet his counterparts in the Hong Kong Department and Maritime, Aviation and Environment Department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, on Friday p.m., 4 September 1987, to exchange views on the implementation of the autonomous Hong Kong Shipping Register and its progress to-date as well as other matters of mutual interest pertaining to shipping and the Port of Hong Kong.
Grateful for your early confirmation if the timing of the proposed visit to FCO is convenient or please advise alternative dates between 4-14 September 1987 except possibly the 8 September 1987.
