(iii) in paragraph (d) by deleting sub-paragraph (iv) and substituting the following-

"(iv) 3 officers of the Marine Department, at least one of whom shall have previous pilotage experience."; and

(b) in subsection (6) by deleting "Five" and substituting the

Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after Amendment of subsection (1) the following-

section 7.

"(1A) The Authority may exempt an applicant from the require- ments of subsection (1)(b) and (c) if—

(a) the applicant has within the previous 12 months submitted

himself to a similar examination; and

(b) the Authority is satisfied as to the applicant's physical and

mental fitness and eyesight.

(1B) The Director of Medical and Health Services may prescribe

the fee payable under subsection (1)(b) and (c).”.

Section 10 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of subsection (3) and substituting the following

Short title and

1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Pilotage (Amendment) Ordin- commencement. ance 1987 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the

Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Amendment of section 2.

2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after the definition of "ship" the following-

"terminal operator" means the operator of a wharf or terminal specified in the First Schedule to the Pilotage Order;".

Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended—-

(a) in subsection (3)—

(i) in paragraph (a) by deleting "by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce" and substituting the following-

"respectively by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Com- merce and the Hong Kong Liner Shipping Association"; (ii) by inserting after paragraph (a) the following—

"(aa) a representative of terminal operators nominated by the

Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce;"; and

Section 10D(4) of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting Amendment of after "section" the following-

(Cap. 313.)

"other than one referred to in subsection (2)(a) or to which Part IV of the Shipping and Port Control Ordinance applies,".
