THE MOTOR VEHICLES INSURANCE (THIRD PARTY RISKS) ORDINANCE 1987
(No. 20 of 1987)
This Ordinance repeals section 8 of the
Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third Party Risks) Ordinance which provided for the recovery of hospital expenses from insurers in relation to traffic accidents. Because the amount recoverable from insurers has fallen short of the amount required to administer the recovery procedures, the recovery scheme has been discontinued.
2. Before the Acting Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
