Based on the progress of the conditions for work resumption, the JVC is satisfied that the five conditions prerequisite have been satisfactorily accomplished and therefore in its opinion concreting work in the Unit 1 Raft can be allowed to resume.

Work has been stopped for about 50 days since the discovery of the non-conformance. The JVC, after checking again the preparation work undertaken by HCCM, will allow pouring of concrete in Unit 1 Raft in the rear future.

Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station is the first large nuclear power station being constructed in China. It is also the first time for China and France to co-operate in the construction of 2 large nuclear power station. For any difficulties and problems encountered in such complex, large scale construction project, the JVC shareholders, the PRC and foreign specialists, technicians and staff will strictly adhere to the principle of giving first priority to safety and quality, adopt scientific approach and achieve good cooperation in the construction of the nuclear power station.

Thank you.
