An Ordinance to amend the Post Office Ordinance.

[9 January 1987]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Post Office (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance 1987.

2.

Section 20 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of "$500" and substituting the following—

section 20.

“$10,000".

3.

Section 21 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(Cap. 98.)

(a) in subsection (1) by deleting "The" and substituting the

following

"Save where the Postmaster General otherwise permits, the";

(b) in subsection (3) by inserting, after "packet" in the first place

where it occurs, the following—

"is required to be prepaid and”;

(c) in subsection (4) by inserting, after "packet" in the second place

where it occurs, the following—

"is required to be prepaid and".

Amendment of section 21.

Section 24(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of "$250" and substituting the following-

section 24.

"$2,000".
