An Ordinance to amend the Companies Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Short title.
(No. 2) Ordinance 1987.
2. Section 203 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
Amendment of section 203.
(a) in subsection (1) by deleting "and where the Official Receiver is (Cap. 32.)
liquidator he shall cause such account to be prepared”;
(b) by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following—
"(3) The liquidator shall furnish the Official Receiver with such vouchers and information relating to the account as he requires, and the Official Receiver may at any time require the production of, and inspect, any books or accounts kept by the liquidator.
(3A) The Official Receiver may at any time cause the account to be audited.";
(c) in subsection (4) by inserting after "audited" the following-
"(or, as the case may be, forthwith if the Official Receiver decides that the account need not be audited)”;
(d) in subsection (5) by deleting "The liquidator shall cause the
account when audited" and substituting the following-
