THE BANKRUPTCY (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1987

(No. 39 of 1987)

This Ordinance makes miscellaneous amendments to the Bankruptcy Ordinance.

2. Section 2 amends section 9 of the principal Ordinance relating to the mode of service of a bankruptcy petition which is now prescribed in the Bankruptcy Rules.

3. Section 3 amends section 93 of the principal Ordinance by deleting the requirement that the Official Receiver must audit all the 6-monthly accounts of trustees in bankruptcy submitted to him under the section.

4. Section 4 amends section 114 of the principal Ordinance to remove doubts concerning the validity of fees.

5.

Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
