We have agreed with HKD department that we should send more detailed thoughts, drawing on the points in your paper and providing a formula which could be used, if necessary, to refer to the Taiwanese authorities, and have said we will send it in Saturday's bag. I should therefore be grate jul if you would consider which parts of your minute ought to be conveyed to Hong Kong.

3. My own preference for referring to the Taiwanese authorities would be "the local authorities in Taiwan", which, I am under the impression, has been used in the past by the PRC. I should be grateful for comments.
